Uploading files to FTP

Uploading files to the FTP server is quick and easy, and can be done from any computer with an active internet connection.

  1. Open a Microsoft Internet Explorer browser window. This is the only internet browser that supports our FTP upload capabilities.
  2. Log into the FTP server.

  1. Once you're logged into the FTP server, double click the 'documents' folder.

    • This folder is your Barney documents folder, and can be accessed from any campus computer, as well as through FTP.

  1. Once you're in the 'documents' folder in FTP, click and drag the icon for the file or folders you wish to upload, and drop them in the FTP 'documents' window.

    • A plus '+' sign should appear next to your cursor when you're dragging items into the FTP window to upload.
    • The document must be closed to be uploaded.

If you still encounter problems trying to upload documents to the FTP server, please call the reference desk at (509)323-5931, or the Help desk at (509)323-5550.
