Uploading files to FTP
Uploading files to the FTP server is quick and easy, and can be done from any computer with an active internet connection.
- Open a Microsoft Internet Explorer browser window. This is the only internet browser that supports our FTP upload capabilities.
- Log into the FTP server.
- Once you're logged into the FTP server, double click the 'documents' folder.
- This folder is your Barney documents folder, and can be accessed from any campus computer, as well as through FTP.
- Once you're in the 'documents' folder in FTP, click and drag the icon for the file or folders you wish to upload, and drop them in the FTP 'documents' window.
- A plus '+' sign should appear next to your cursor when you're dragging items into the FTP window to upload.
- The document must be closed to be uploaded.
If you still encounter problems trying to upload documents to the FTP server, please call the reference desk at (509)323-5931, or the Help desk at (509)323-5550.
